The Management Team at MountainHeart often receives questions from staff concerning many different aspects of the agency. If one of the staff have wondered about the answer to a question, there may other staff that are wondering the same thing. Questions about things such as Policies & Procedures, Fiscal Issues, Everyday Tasks, etc. can be asked and answered here in the Frequently Asked Questions.
If you have a question that you have been needing an answer to? Well, this is your chance. Submit your questions here and we will get you an answer and post it so all MountainHeart staff can benefit.. Remember, all question are anonymous. We won't know your name so don't expect a reply back directly.

Why do we not have an IT person stationed at the Kopperston Office?

MountainHeart's Division of Information Technology (DIT) has a staff person onsite in the Kopperston office most days of the week. Remember, MountainHeart DIT has 10 offices and approximately 12 Head Start & Early Head Start Centers that we are responsible for maintaining. Offices we serve are in the following areas: Wyoming, Raleigh, Mercer, Greenbrier, Nicholas, Randolph, Grant, Taylor, Lewis and Berkeley Counties. We have three people on staff to provide the necessary technical support for the agency.
Each member of the DIT Team have specialized skills to be able to handle most of the issues that the agency would normally experience. If anyone has questions or concerns or has had a bad experience with the Division of Information Technology, please contact Mike Stafford @ 304-253-7654. We want all of our staff to have a positive experience when contacting us.

Will the executive director see the question and response before it is posted?
Answered by Mike Stafford (Division of Information Technology Supervisor):
The answer to this question would most likely be "No". Questions submitted will be directed to the appropriate Program Director for review. If the question concerns Human Resources, the HR Director would be the person providing the answer. If the question concerns payroll, it would be directed to the Chief Financial Officer for the answer. If the Program Director isn't able to provide an answer, the Executive Director would then be consulted.

I found this after the conversation yesterday and decided to find out how this works. Who is this sent to?

When a question is submitted via our online form, MountainHeart Community Services, Inc. Division of Information Technology (DIT) staff receive the submission. We determine the best person to answer the question and direct it appropriately. When the answer has been received, it is posted along with the question on the FAQs page of the staff website.
